Cricket chief confident of growth

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Botswana Cricket Union (BCU) president, Girish Ramakrishna is optimistic the game will grow and spread to remote areas of the country.

Ramakrishna said government schools have been targeted in a rollout programme that has so far benefited Kgatleng and Maun. Cricket is viewed as a game of the elite.

Ramakrishna said the BCU two-year-old development programme is on track and will soon bear fruit.
