Concern over absence of local refs at the AFCON finals

While the Zebras managed to qualify for the just ended Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) , local referees are still to make it to this event.

This has raised questions about the standard of refereeing in the country.  The deputy chairperson of the Referees Commission, Aloysious Sesikwe, said it is a concern that local referees are not selected for the Africa Cup of Nations games. 

“Everyone wants to see progress. We are concerned,” said the former referee.
