Comets,Boteti bite the dust

The storm is over: Boteti Young Fighters and Jwaneng Comets surrendered their Premier League status yesterday when they were relegated to the First Division. This means that Killer Giants will now compete in the promotional play-offs scheduled for this Friday.

After Township Rollers were crowned the 2009-2010 be MOBILE Premier League with few games to spare, the attention now turned to the bottom with many supporters wondering which side would be relegated. The moment of truth finally came yesterday leaving some supporters in tears.

Despite all the bottom three sides winning, it was a little too late for Boteti and Comets. Boteti narrowly beat Nico United 1-0 in Orapa, while Comets also secured a 1-0 win at home to BMC thanks to Lapologang Motlogi's strike.
