Comets Shift Focus To Play-Offs

This season, they failed to get automatic promotion, finishing second to subsequent winners Killer Giants who qualified for the Premier League for the first time. The Jwaneng side has now shifted attention to the play-offs as their only hope for promotion. But Comets are aware that the play-offs would not be easy as a Premier League side will be involved besides fellow First Division runners-up, Miscellaneous from the north.
Miscellaneous would be getting a second bite of the cherry in two seasons after failing to win promotion last year when BDF XI qualified ahead of the Serowe side. Both Comets and Miscellaneous have a few players with Premier League experience. Former international striker Barulaganye 'Jomo' Bolofete and ex-Mochudi Centre Chiefs forward Mooketsi Ditshego are among Comets' experienced campaigners. Former Chiefs' stars, Aaron Kale and Stanley Tsolope are on loan at Miscellaneous and this makes for good competition during the play-offs.
