Comets edge closer to Premier League

Jwaneng Comets have put one leg in the Premier League after humiliating Naughty Boys 5-0 in a promotional play-off game at the National Stadium on Wednesday night.

After beating Motlakase 2-0 in their first game at Molepolole Sports Complex on Sunday, Comets lead the pack with six points and seven goals. A win against Naughty Boys in their second meeting at the Police College tonight, will see Comets retaining their Premier League status.
Comets' coach Oris Radipotsane told Mmegi Sport that their plan is to remain in the Premier League and he is out to crush Naughty Boys tonight.
"There has been some underhand tactics to send us to First Division but we are not going to let this distract us. Our plan is to beat Naughty Boys because we don't have any problems with Motlakase," said Radipotsane.
The former Rollers' coach praised his charges for their commitment since he took over the reigns. "The players have been fantastic. We've not had even a yellow card in our last five games, which is really good," he said. Radipotsane thanked the club managers for their support saying that if it was not for this,  Comets could have been doomed. Against Naughty Boys tonight, Comets will welcome back their influential attacking midfielder Barulaganye 'Jomo' Bolofe who missed the Wednesday win because of work commitments. Once again, Moselakgoko, Rankgomo and Madala will lead the Jwaneng side's attack.
Naughty Boys coach Timmy Setswe said that they lost the game because the players did not follow instructions. "Our players are stereo-typed.
"If they could have followed the instructions in the second half, the score could have been better," said Setswe. He said that they have nothing to lose against Comets and he will go out for an attacking game.
"Our chances are remote because we will have to score lots of goals," he told Mmegi Sport. The Tlokweng side was pathetic against Comets on Wednesday and hope that the likes of Galefetoge Kenaope, Mothusi Tobe and Losika Moeng pick up the pieces and deliver the goals. If Naughty Boys win tonight, their weekend game against Motlakase in Mahalapye would be interesting because they have a chance to edge out Comets in the race to the Premier League.
