Four Premier League teams who participated in the inaugural Gaborone City Mayor’s Cup are yet to be paid their dues. The Gaborone City Council (GCC) hosted the tournament through the Mayor’s office in partnership with football publication Spotkick.

The four teams; Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Extension Gunners, Sharps Shooting Stars and TAFIC, participated in the one-day football event played at the National Stadium on July 22, 2017. 

However a month later, the four teams are yet to receive their dues that include prize money and appearance fees.
