Clubs have blasted the Botswana Football Association (BFA) for disrupting the Premier League with what they termed 'useless friendly games' for the national team.

The clubs expressed their unhappiness that the league was disrupted for the second time last weekend because the Zebras arrived home late after travelling to China for an international friendly. Some of the clubs have issued a stern warning that in future, they will not release their players for insignificant national team games if the BFA fails to put its act together.

Mochudi Centre Chiefs was the most affected as they had four players in the squad which meant that their games against Motlakase and Boteti Young Fighters had to be called off. Magosi had Michael Mogaladi, Dirang Moloi, Mpoeleng Mpoeleng and Moemedi Moatlhaping in the Zebras' squad. Chiefs have only played a single game since the league started and their next date will be against Nico United this Saturday at Molepolole Sports Stadium. BDF XI and ECCO City Greens had to be excused from the league programme because they had three players each in the squad.
