Chinese Embassy 'unaware' of match-fixing allegations

The Chinese Embassy in Gaborone has said it will only act on allegations of match- fixing once it receives full details of what transpired during the Zebras' controversial trip to China.

The embassy spokesperson, Zhou Zhigang said at the moment their office is not aware of the match-fixing allegations, which have rocked local football following the suspension of Botswana Football Association (BFA) chief executive officer, Mooketsi Tosh Kgotlele.

Zhou said the embassy was only informed of the Zebras' trip to China through the BFA.He said they did not receive any communication from the China Football Association (CFA) about the trip.
