The Chinese Enterprises Association (CEA) donated P6,020 on Monday to Ernest Dintweng Football Academy in Tsamaya. The managing director of CEA, Zhang Guangcan told journalists at the event that they are happy to spend money on a project intended to change the lives of children."

Kids are the future of this country and I have to say we as Chinese are happy to learn that this country takes proper nurturing of children seriously and we are therefore happy to be helping in this regard," Zhang said.

"We believe that Botswana is doing well in different areas because the people have a culture of raising children in the right way, protecting them and ensuring that they grow to be useful to the country," he added. He said the donation marks the beginning of their relationship with the academy. He said they will evaluate progress to see if the academy is producing the country's future stars."We hope that this money would be used for its intended purpose and we will be making a follow-up to see if indeed the academy is striving to shape the kids to have a brighter future. If we are happy with the way it is run, then we would not hesitate to donate more in future," he said.
