The beleaguered Tswapong regional leadership, recently wrote a letter to the Botswana Football Association (BFA) banishing national executive committee (NEC) member, Charles Chilisa, from allegedly interfering in their affairs.

In a three-page letter addressed to the BFA, Benedict Bayane, Tswapong region's vice chairman, likened Chilisa's alleged meddling to South Africa's Africa National Congress Youth League's (ANCYL) troubled president Julius Malema's leadership style. Bayane, wrote that Chilisa was "out to run Tswapong football from his base in Gaborone".

BFA's legal advisor Tebogo Sebego, confirmed receiving the letter adding that it was brought to the attention of the BFA at their September meeting. "The letter has been received. They complained about his (Chilisa) interference, which was brought to the attention of the NEC. The letter was noted at the last meeting, but I'm not sure whether it was fully discussed ,but I know it's a concern that was noted," Sebego told Mmegi Sport.
