Chilisa, Radipotsane war of words rages on

Tswapong region suspended chairman, Fobby Radipotsane's hearing had to be deferred again on Thursday with allegations that Botswana Football Association (BFA) national executive committee (NEC) member, Charles Chilisa, tried to recruit a prosecutor without the association's knowledge.

BFA had to look for a prosecutor to preside over Radipotsane's case after their legal representative, Tebogo Sebego, cited that because of his correlation with Radipotsane, his conscience was not clear during the initial hearing early this month. Radipotsane coached Sebego at Gaborone Kicks many years ago and the two have previously exchanged notes on football matters. The Palapye-based Radipotsane is being accused of bringing the association's name into disrepute through comments made in the media.

During last Thursday's hearing, Radipotsane pleaded with the Disciplinary Committee (DC) to protect him, alleging that Chilisa had attempted to influence the outcome of the case by trying to recruit a prosecutor of his choice.
