Chiefs, Santos In An Exciting Draw

Log leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs came from behind to force a 2-2 draw against Uniao Flamengo Santos in an exciting Mascom Premier League game played before an electrifying atmosphere at the UB Stadium on Friday night.

Chiefs remain at the top of the Premier League with 15 points from seven games while Santos are second with 13 points. Despite the game being played under the wet conditions for the entire 90 minutes, this did dampen the spirits of the two sides as they went for each other's neck. The game was even made entertaining by the supporters who sang throughout the game.

It was Chiefs who initiated the first dangerous move of the game in the seventh minute, when Jerome Ramatlhakwana tested Santos' goalkeeper Raphael Nthwane with a 45-metre drive shot, but the Santos' custodian did well to parry away the ball for a corner.
