Mascom Premier League pacesetters, Mochudi Centre Chiefs were given a standing ovation after beating South African Premier League side, Jomo Cosmos in a Four-Team Challenge Cup game at the National Stadium on Saturday.

After watching another local side, Extension Gunners, suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat at the hands of Moroka Swallows, the onus was on on-form Chiefs to exact revenge.

Magosi did not disappoint as they put up a brave fight to beat their more superior opponents. Chiefs had to wait until late to send local supporters into celebrations. After huffing and puffing, the Kgatleng giants scored the winner in the 90th minute through Oteng Moalosi.
