Chiefs reclaim top spot

FRANCISTOWN: Log leaders Mochudi Centre Chiefs have maintained their unbeaten run in the Mascom Premier League following a 5-1 drubbing of home-side TASC at the Francistown Stadium over the weekend.

Ahead of the game, Magosi were under pressure to reclaim top spot from Uniao Flamengo Santos who surged ahead after beating BDF XI 2-0 on Thursday night. So far, the star-studded Chiefs have 18 points and have conceded only three goals from eight games.

They beat TASC despite the fact that they played below par. They relied on defensive blunders and indiscipline from TASC to inflict damage. After suffering a 3-0 defeat from Police XI a week ago, it was hoped that the Tango Boys would do better against Chiefs but they were a disappointment.
