Chiefs in sixth attempt to break Top 8 jinx

Kgatleng giants, Mochudi Centre Chiefs will this Sunday make another attempt in the Mascom Top 8 competition, which has eluded them for the past five editions. As one of the most successful Premier League teams, Chiefs have failed to reach the final of the competition since it started five seasons ago.

Chiefs were this time paired against a tricky Jwaneng Galaxy who will be making their debut in the competition. Both sides have been struggling early on in the season.

Chiefs, despite holding onto some of their experienced players, have shown signs of lack of depth in the squad. Following the departure of Lemponye Tshireletso, Pontsho Moloi, Onalethata Tshekiso and Tendai Nyumasi, Chiefs have tried to mix experience with youth but it has not yielded results so far.
