Defending champions Township Rollers got a sour start to their title defence when they suffered a 5-2 humiliation at the hands of rivals Mochudi Centre Chiefs in the their opening match of the 2011/201 beMOBILE Premier League season at the UB Stadium on Saturday.

The champions found themselves in an unfamiliar situation only 15 minutes into the match, as they were 2-0 down to Magosi. Lesego Galenamotlhale inflicted the first thorn into Rollers' faithful hearts with a goal in the 12th minute. Chiefs dispossessed Rollers in midfield and started a move that saw them pierce through the retreating Rollers centre backs Kgomari Mothuba and Oscar Ncenga before Galenamotlhale drove the ball past a hapless goalkeeper, Kabelo Dambe.
