Chiefs fan killed in road accident

League leaders Mochudi Centre Chiefs are mourning the death of one of their supporters following a road accident that occurred outside Selebi-Phikwe.

Chiefs' supporters were involved in an accident about 15km outside Selebi-Phikwe on Saturday where they were travelling for the epic clash against Nico United.

Assistant Superintendent Goganamang Pule of Selebi-Phikwe Police confirmed that a combi carrying Chiefs supporters overturned on its way to the copper-mining town. One of the supporters later died while others were treated and discharged from Selebi-Phikwe government hospital. Pule said they were investigating the cause of the accident.
