Chiefs clobber Polokwe in Spar League

Mochudi Centre Chiefs Netball club made light work of newcomers Polokwe clobbering them 82-18 in a one sided Spar Good For You Netball League encounter on Saturday. Chiefs were in control from the onset, keeping their opponents back-pedalling throughout the opening quarter.

Although Chiefs were not at their best, they were the more purposeful of the two sides. Polokwe's goalkeeper Golebaone Morapedi struggled to contain Chiefs' lanky goal shooter, Kelebogile Mogwera often letting win aerial balls. At the end of the first quarter, Chiefs led 24-3 and understandably looked unfussy as their opponents failed to match them.

The second quarter was also a one-sided affair although Polokwe captain Dineo Molosiwa and goal attacker Kegomoditswe Balaodi fought hard to keep the score-line respectable.
