Log leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs maintained their good run in the beMOBILE Premier League as the race reached the halfway mark over the weekend.

They wrapped up their first round campaign with a resounding 4-0 victory over TAFIC and will have only themselves to blame if they fail to clinch the title.

The Kgatleng giants have collected 40 points and scored 54 goals, 34 of which came from Joel Mogorosi and Kekaetswe Moloi. Mogorosi grabbed a brace against TAFIC and took his tally to 21 while Moloi scored once to increase his goals to 14. Chiefs are now eight points clear at the top with the second round starting this weekend. Their title ambitions received a boost last weekend when the two chasing teams BMC and defending champions drew 0-0. Out of the 15 games, Chiefs have lost one, against BDF XI and drew once against Gaborone United (GU). They meet BDF XI this weekend.
