Mochudi Centre Chiefs' spokesperson, Clifford Mogomotsi has blamed fatigue for the club's barren season.

The Kgatleng giants finished the season trophyless after failing to defend both the Premier League and Coca-Cola Cup titles. Mogomotsi said fatigue might have contributed to the club's declining form. He said there was added pressure on the players and in the end, they wilted. "The expectations were high," he explained.

However, he vowed that Chiefs will bounce back next season. Magosi were favoured to retain the league title and the Coca-Cola Cup but fumbled at the last minute. Mogomotsi said that though they failed to defend the titles, they will rise again. "It is not over for Chiefs. We will rise from the ashes," he said.  Although it is off-season, he said their preparations for the new campaign are in full swing. "We are looking forward to the next season," the official said.
