Chess unveil 30th anniversary activities

The Botswana Chess Federation on Saturday unveiled a line up of activities they will host during the run up to their 30th Anniversary in July.

At a media workshop held at Yarona Country Lodge, the BCF President, Tshepo Sitale said the activities include the re-branding of the BCF with a new logo  whose design will be open to the public.  Sitale also announced they have engaged the services of a former chess champion to design  a website for the chess body which will be unveiled  at the climax of the  anniversary which will include dinner and awards ceremony.

As part of their 30th anniversary activities, Sitale says the BCF will also donate computers to selected schools in a bid to speed up chess development in those schools. He did not say how many computers will be donated to which schools. He also said chess equipment will also be donated to various schools  as part of the BCF's social responsibility initiatives.
