Botswana chess has proved its rise from a relatively unknown sport with three nominations to the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) awards list. The winners will be honoured at a ceremony on April 26.

BCF spokesperson, Keenese Katisenge told Mmegi Sport that the nominations are a motivation and the result of the successful hosting of the Africa Zone 4.3 chess championships last April.
