Chambeshi puts brave face ahead of final

Though his tactical awareness has come under heavy criticism of late, Mochudi Centre Chiefs' coach, Beston Chambeshi is putting a brave face ahead of the Coca-Cola Cup final tomorrow against Flamengo Santos at the National Stadium.

The Zambian said yesterday that he knows what he is up against and his charges are ready to do the job. Chambeshi told Mmegi Sport that though they have been training without their national team players, the preparations have been going well.

"We have also been affected by injuries but I am hoping that the players will be ready for the challenge. This is a cup many people have been waiting for and I promise them (supporters) that they will not be disappointed come Saturday," he said. The Zambian tactician is aware that some people were not impressed by the performance against Naughty Boys. He promised that his charges will play entertaining football tomorrow.  Magosi have never won the Coca-Cola Cup and their supporters are expecting this to change tomorrow after a good year in which the club won their first national title and the Kabelano Charity Cup.  Chiefs ran away with the national title unbeaten and to date the club is still to lose a game in all competitions. Tomorrow, Santos will seek to end Chiefs' unbeaten record and dash their dreams of winning a treble.
