Cash problems affect World Cup preparations

National team preparations for next month's World Softball Championships in Saskatoon, Canada have been thrown in disarray because of financial problems, coach Sthando Kgosiyang has said.

He stated that the players have been mentally affected by the turn of events especially after the Botswana Softball Association (BSA) requested them to help raise funds to enable them to make the trip.

Each player has been asked to raise P7,000 while officials are expected to pay P14,000 to enable the BSA to get air tickets. The BSA said it could not raise enough money to fund the trip, hence the decision to ask the team members to get money from other sources.
