The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) is making steady progress on the Ofentse Nato case after the judicial body requested the Botswana Football Association (BFA) to avail the ruling that declared the player a defaulter.

The matter reached CAS after Rollers appealed the BFA National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) ruling, which declared the former Zebras midfielder a defaulter. CAS has written to the BFA requesting to be furnished with the ruling which declared Nato a defaulter. The ruling overruled an earlier judgement by the Botswana Premier League (BPL), which had cleared both Rollers and BPL of any wrongdoing.

“I do not know if I am at liberty to discuss the contents of that letter as that maybe be viewed as contempt, but they wanted a copy of the NDC ruling regarding that issue,” BFA chief executive officer, Kitso Kemoeng said yesterday.
