Caps crowned Boteti champions

Caps United of Letlhakane are the winners of the Boteti First Division Top Eight tournament after beating Orapa Swallows 2-1 in the final on Sunday. Caps walked away with P4,400 while Swallows got P3,100.

White Diamonds and Stallions finished third and fourth respectively. Caps will keep the trophy for good since the tournament was in its third and last year under the sponsorship of local businessman, Thebe Tabane.

Tournament organiser, Elija Motsamai said that once again, they were let down by poor attendance though the level of competition has improved. He said the clubs were buoyed by the sponsorship of P22,000, an increase of P2,000 from last year. He could not say whether the tournament will take place next year after the expiry of the sponsorship.
