Cancellation of games a concern

SELBI-PHIKWE: First Division North log leaders, No Mathata have raised concern at the high number of cancelled matches, the latest being their clash against Motlakase Power Dynamos.

The match, which was supposed to be played last weekend, was called off at the last minute. No Mathata spokesperson, Mpho Tsumake is livid, pointing an accusing finger at the league organisers.  He said First Division North authorities make decisions without considering the time and resources invested in preparing for a game.  Tsumake said they were shocked to learn that their game against Motlakase had been called off.

"Motlakase told us that we couldn't play the game because their ground was unavailable on Saturday and they suggested that we play on Sunday. We informed them that we couldn't play on the suggested day because we had not planned to be in camp for two days. They also informed us late," Tsumake said. He suspects Motlakase chickened out because their coach, Oris Radipotsane was in Gaborone attending a course.
