The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) has issued a stern warning to teams, which pitch up late for matches.

The competition has in the past been dogged by persistent delays due to teams arriving late. BVF top brass always promised to deal with the issue but to no avail. Speaking at the launch of the 2012/2013 season in Gaborone yesterday, BVF president, Daniel Molaodi said this time round they would walk the talk.  He said punishment would not only be limited to teams, but officials as well. He said the association has since revised rules and regulations for the league and that tough action would be taken against late comers, which may include suspension.  Molaodi said unlike before such issues would be handled by the league commission.

"Only in instances where they (commission) fail to deal with the issue can it be referred to us," he said. The league is scheduled to start tomorrow with four games in Lobatse on the programme.
