The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) has postponed the start of the league to sort out sponsorship issues and inspect the playing grounds.

New BVF president, Daniel Molaodi said there are many things to be ironed out in the sponsorship deal with mobile cellphone service provider, Mascom. He said when his committee assumed office early this month, there were issues to be finalised with Mascom before the league could start. The previous committee led by Tshosoletso Nkala negotiated the sponsorship.

"As the sponsors are new, there are some conditions that needed to be met before the league can start. Issues like teams' attire, sponsor's logo needed to be sorted out first. I think the announcement of the league kick-off was made too early before finalising these details," Molaodi explained. The league was supposed to start on July 25.
