BVF, BNSC merge development programmes

FRANCISTOWN: The Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) and the Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) have decided to merge the Re ba bona ha and the volleyball mini development programme.

The volleyball federation officials announced the development in an interview with Mmegi sport yesterday. The Re ba bona ha programme is coordinated by the BNSC while the BVF run the volleyball mini development programme. The merger of the programme will be launched in Maun next week Saturday. Explaining the reasons for the merger, BVF senior sports development officer Mission Mereyothe yesterday said:

"We (BVF and BNSC) felt that it was difficult to run the two programmes separately especially when it came to allocation of resources. "It was not easy to equitable allocate resources as well as mobilising kids to take part in the two programmes," he said. "The two programmes after the merger will be called the Re ba bona ha mini development programme.
