Busy weekend for UB Giants

It will be a busy weekend for the UB Giants as the first round of the Shell Softball League comes to a close this weekend at their home ground, UB Diamond.

The students have three weekend fixtures with one being for the women's side, as they make up for postponed fixtures in the opening round of the league.

Their women's side plays log leaders Bears on Sunday morning and will be hard pressed for a win to move up the log. They are presently languishing in the bottom half of the nine-team log. The scholars have struggled this season with their only positive from the season being a 15-5 triumph over Police IX late in November.
