Buffaloes revive title ambitions

Mochudi Buffaloes revived their title hopes with a 2-0 victory away to Letlapeng on Sunday. The Kgatleng side played good football and should have scored more goals especially in the second half when the hosts took a back seat.

The two teams huffed and puffed in the opening minutes but the Letlapeng defence developed cracks first while the Buffaloes' rearguard marshalled by Don Ramphaljeng and George Mponiki kept danger-men Olefile Lochia and Lenyatso 'Tibe' Diseko under close guard.

It came as no surprise when winger Kavezedi 'King' Kavezedi turned Thato Mothathobi on the far left and sent a high cross to the unmarked Kenneth Setshwane who fired past Mothusi Nkau in the Letlapeng goal 30 minutes into the game. The goal separated the two sides at the break. From recess, the Mochudi lads came firing from all cylinders and right winger Setshwane increasing his 'trips' to the opponents' half. Former Extension Gunner' defender, David 'Teenage' Tsalaile committed a schoolboy error minutes after the re-start but he was saved from utter embarrassment by his goalkeeper.
