Mochudi Buffaloes failed to stretch their lead at the top of the First Division South League after they allowed Killer Giants to snatch a late equaliser in a crucial match in Ramotswa on Saturday.

Nsuka Pansu had put the log leaders ahead in the 61st minute with an opportunistic goal following a goalmouth melee but Killer Giants earned a controversial penalty in the 82nd minute and Larona Maotwe scored from the spot to level matters.

With Letlapeng drawing with Mathaithai, Buffaloes could have extended their lead by another two points if they beaten Killers. The draw maintains their grip at the top with 33 points, five ahead of the two Ramotswa sides, Letlapeng and Killers Giants who are tied in second spot with 28 points each.
