BRU Name National Coaches

The Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) has appointed the coaches to handle the three national teams this year. While Gareth Gilbert and Ivor Greaves will be in charge of the senior side, the Vultures; BRU president, Dave Gilbert said on Friday that Tosca Segaise and Greg Dube will drill the Under-18s with Shine Gabatladiwe mentoring the Under-19s.

He commended the sponsors for making most of BRU's dreams to come true. He said that though sports sponsorship in Botswana is new, it is growing. He explained that the growth is coupled with the development of sport in the country to the point that Botswana sportsmen and women now compete successfully in the international arena.

"The additional revenue for sport through sponsorships fast tracks the development of the skills required to become world champions and is self fuelling as the more successfully our teams compete, bigger and bigger sponsorships are attracted," he said.
