SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) is yet to come up with fixtures and a plan of action for its league that is expected to start in March.

BRU president Bob Lekan told Mmegi Sport in an interview this week that the league will commence after the union's annual general meeting scheduled for February 23. He explained that the plan of action for the year will be endorsed by the general assembly. He said although they are no formal applications from teams interested in joining the league, the possibility of league debutants cannot be ruled out.

"Last year we faced some challenges such as lack of match officials, lack of funds and lack of commitment from some clubs," said Lekan.
