Township Rollers have confirmed the appointment of David Bright as their new coach for the coming season. Bright is currently in charge of the national Under-23 side, which is fighting for a place at the 2008 Olympic Games in China.

Rollers communications' manager Kaizer Sekaba confirmed that they have agreed terms with the tactician. "He's starting work today (yesterday) and we're happy to have brought him into our stable.

There is no doubt that Bright is an experienced coach and needs no introduction," he said. The appointment of Bright as Rollers' coach confirms persistent reports that he was headed to the club. He was first linked to Mapalastina after he was controversially dismissed by Uniao Flamengo Santos. Sekaba told Mmegi Sport that they had long wanted to hire Bright since his days at Santos. He said that Bright will work closely with assistants Daniel 'Chicco' Nare and Mmoni 'States' Segopolo as they try to once again turn Rollers into a formidable side. Mokwadi Charles has been roped in as the goalkeeper coach. Charles has worked with Bright before at Mogoditshane Fighters, Santos and the national team.
