Branch wins fourth motocross title

Local rider, Ross Branch, added his fourth All-African Motocross title when he won the 2011 FIM Africa Motocross Championship held in Harare, Zimbabwe, last weekend.

On Sunday, Branch won the first hit, came second in the following hit and took the third by just 30 seconds to pip Zimbabwe's England-based rider Sean Mitchell. Mitchell, who has been competing as a professional motocross rider in Belgium in the past years before he recently moved his base to England, was the pre-race favourite.

This year's event attracted a full house of 80-top motocross riders from five African countries : Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and the hosts Zimbabwe.
