BPL apologises for the violence

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has apologised for the ugly incidents, which occurred during the Township Rollers versus Extension Gunners match at the Molepolole Sports Complex on Saturday night.

A huge crowd tried to force its way into the stadium resulting in a stampede in which many fans were injured.

In a press statement, BPL General Manager Phuthego Setete promised to get to the bottom of the matter and punish offenders.
