Botswana scoops wooden at judo championships

Botswana has finished last in the Judo Africa Junior and Cadets Championships that ended on Sunday night. Botswana only managed two bronze medals in the cadet category courtesy of Edwin Sello.

Sello later joined Lesego Modisa, Thato Lebang, Thabile Manenye and Montle Tlagae to win the country its second medal in the team section.

Botswana was ungraded in the junior category after failing to win a medal. It was a battle of titans between Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and South Africa who finished in the top four in both categories. Tunisia finished as the overall winners in the junior category after bagging 11 medals, seven of which were gold.
