The FIFA referee beat other officials from 10 countries, which took part in the games. He officiated in the final where Zambia beat Tanzania 1-0. He told Monitor Sport on Saturday, that he was in the games representing Botswana and he is happy that he made the nation proud.

"It was important for me to carry out my task accordingly during the games." The 39- year-old official told Monitor Sport that the award shows that hard work is recognised. Interestingly, Keoagile said that when they got to Zimbabwe, they did not know that there was an award. The police officer said that all they were competing for was to officiate in the final.
