Botswana has become the first beneficiary of a programme meant to assist African countries with wrestling equipment. Under the programme run by the International Federation of Associated Styles (FILA), Botswana will receive a wrestling mat worth P450,000 next month.

Botswana became the first beneficiary after a vote by the 44 wrestling countries in Africa.

“Botswana Wrestling Federation (BWF) became the first federation in Africa to be assisted by FILA after the confederation decided to start a programme that will help African wrestling federations with wrestling equipment,” Botswana Wrestling Federation (BWF) president, Moagi Sharp told Mmegi Sport yesterday.
