Botswana Games to proceed despite challenges

The third edition of the Botswana Games will go ahead as scheduled despite the challenges, which threaten to scupper preparations.

The games will start on December 17 and are expected to attract over 4,000 athletes from the country's 16 districts. The Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) has admitted facing challenges in the build up to the games, but said it will go ahead with the competition.

Briefing the media in Gaborone on Monday, the Games Standing Committee (GSC) chairperson, Boitshoko Tsiane admitted that they are struggling to raise enough funds for the games, but they will proceed as planned.
