Botswana faces elimination after collapse

The national cricket side capitulated in the face of hostile Nigerian bowling to slump to a 171 run defeat in an ICC Division 7 match played at the BCA Oval in Gaborone yesterday.

The home side has now lost two games on the trot after defeat to Vanuatu on Sunday. Their only win came against Ghana on the opening day of the tournament.

Botswana began brightly, reducing Nigeria to 67- 4 in the 20th over, but a 98 run sixth wicket partnership stand wrestled the game in the West Africans favour.
