Boost for relay team ahead of Istanbul meet

Botswana's 4 x 400m relay team members leave their respective bases today to link up in Istanbul, Turkey, ahead of the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, which kick off on Friday at the Atakoy Athletics Arena.

Jamaica-based Isaac Makwala, Obakeng Ngwigwa, Thapelo Ketlogetswe, Pako Seribe and Sakaria Kamberuka will get to train together for three days before taking to the track.

Makwala confirmed he will leave his Kingston base today. The Senegal-based duo of Seribe and Kamberuka was also expected to leave Dakar.
