Bolelang Pleads With Fans

FRANCISTOWN: ECCO City Greens' captain Malepa 'Chippa' Bolelang has said that supporters should not blame players for crashing out of the Coca-Cola Cup after post-match penalty shoot-out.

The striker said missing a penalty is normal in a game of football. ECCO were beaten 5-4 in penalties by holders Mochudi Centre Chiefs after an entertaining game played under fair weather in the northern city.

ECCO had a chance to seal the match in the 75th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but against expectations, Bonolo Fraizer missed from the spot. To make matters worse, Fraizer had his penalty saved by Chiefs' goalkeeper Noah Maposa in the shoot-out to sum a bad day for the former national Under-20 player.
