The win kept the ECCO dream of a double alive. Though he played deep in midfield, Bolelang did not have a problem in terrorising Boteti's defence, which was always caught napping throughout the game. He netted his first goal as early as the fifth minute. After receiving a curling cross from Boitumelo Modisaotsile on the right, he easily tapped the ball in, sending the vibrant ECCO supporters into wild celebrations. After the goal, Kenneth Mogae's Boteti charges were left confused and they took time to settle. They rarely crossed the centre half as Mamoja-diskie mounted attack after another.
