Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) members will embark on a 20km-sponsored walk dubbed 'SAMURAI' on Saturday in a bid to raise P40,000 for 7th World Africa Junior and Cadet Karate Championships-bound team.

The biennial competition will be hosted in Melaka, Malaysia in October. The association failed to send a team to the same competition in the past due to financial constraints. This year, BOKA intends to send 15 athletes to the competition.

BOKA spokesperson, Jerry Ditlhong, said they would embark on the walk because they believe it is a viable proposition. He said although they had raised money from other events it was not enough to cover the trip.
