The Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) has lifted the suspension imposed on the Ryshin Kan International (Botswana) executive committee after the style's appeal. BOKA banned the committee and appointed an interim body after indications of infighting.

BOKA spokesperson, Jerry Ditlhong said after a thorough assessment of the appeal the association realised that there were issues that they had overlooked in their ruling. BOKA does not have the right to suspend the committee or the style itself because they did not appoint them, he told Mmegi Sport. Ditlhong said that according to the procedure BOKA should have engaged Ryshin-Kan membership who would in turn have written to their international mother body to take the decision.

Ditlhong said the other reason the suspension was lifted was because the executive members had convinced them that they have made peace with each other."We did not just rely on their word, we looked for more evidence to that effect and were convinced that indeed there were at peace," Ditlhong said.
