The Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) is already courting Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) for the renewal of the Keone Mooka Mageu national boxing championships sponsorship.

The current deal ends this year and BoBA and the sponsor have begun talks on another three-year deal. BoBA publicity secretary Willough Kemoen confirmed talks were already underway.

"We hope they will renew because we have done well, we are satisfied we have given them the much-needed mileage and obviously going forward we would want to do more. So we are hopeful they will renew the deal for another three years," Kemoen told Mmegi Sport. Under the current deal, KBL poured in P435, 000 with the initial championship sucking P135, 000 of the sponsorship while last year's games were allocated P145, 000. The final edition, already underway with two club championships having been played, takes the remaining P155, 000.
