BNSC revives Sports Foundation Trust

Efforts are being made to resuscitate the Sports Foundation Trust (SFT), a fund meant to augment the annual grant received from the government.

Botswana National Sports Council (BNSC) chairperson, Solly Reikeletseng, told affiliates during the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) that funds from government were insufficient, hence the need to revive SFT.

The fund, created in 2001, but has remained dormant but now efforts are underway to revive the programme.  As part of its effort to bring the trust to life BNSC has appointed former Botswana Defence Force (BDF) commander, Tebogo Masire, as its patron.
